Valley tank rehabilitation and water-for-production infrastructure
Each dam and valley tank is equipped with well-defined operational guidelines and management strategies aimed at protecting the rights of downstream water users, particularly those located within the Lokok and Lokere catchments in Uganda. These operational rules ensure that water allocation is both fair and sustainable, taking into account seasonal variations in water availability and usage patterns among different user groups.
Furthermore, our approach includes regular assessments and community engagement initiatives to address any emerging concerns and adapt the systems to changing environmental conditions and community needs. This comprehensive strategy aims not only to enhance water security for all stakeholders but also to foster harmonious relationships among water users in the region.
